"அறத்தான் வருவதே இன்பம் மற்றெல்லாம் புறந்த புகழும் இல" என்ற வல்லுவரின் குறளுக்கு இணங்க இவ்வுலகத்தில் அறம் செய்வதன் மூலம் மட்டுமே இன்பம் குழைக்கும்.

அவ்வறத்தினை தான் சார்ந்திருக்கும் சமூக மக்களுக்கு திறம்பட செய்வதை முதன்மையான நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டு உருவாக்கப்பட்ட அறக்கட்டளையே ஈதல் இதயம் அறக்கட்டளை ஆகும்.
